Lots Of Sunshine...

It has been perfect weather for gardening this past week...

I found some volunteer Pansy's in the Silverbeet bed...

Planted them in a pot :)

The pumpkin was ok, the flesh was soft and it was quite sweet but nice :)

Cosmos Flower...

Last Tuesday I pulled all the grass/weeds from the front garden bed...

And on Wednesday, Bought some frilled Pansy seedlings and...

...Some seeds, they where $5.50 for a packet- but there was only 19 seeds in it :/...

And also some beautiful Poppy seeds. They were $5.50 as well but there were about 50 seeds...

Sprouted Romanesco seedlings...

And Lettuce....

Also bought some Mini Cos seedlings and put them in the Garden Bed....

A butterfly resting on a Zinnia flower.. After it tried to dive bomb me :/

I counted 28 White Cabbage Moth eggs on one small leaf of Kale!!!! They are everywhere!!!! :/ They were getting into the net that was on the Cabbage bed so it was taken off...

And everything was sprayed...

Snow Peas have Sprouted :)

The flower beds are going well...

A Busy Day!!

It was a perfect day to be out in the garden today!! I started at about 10am, came inside only for lunch (and watch Gardening Australia :) ), and finished at about 6pm. :)

Pulled the Beans....

And the Cucumbers...

And gave them to the chickens and ducks...and as I was cleaning up so i could whipper snip....

I came across a Toad!! (I think it's a toad anyway?) I was definitely raised by Cats, because I didn't scream in surprise I hissed! Lol! It's a good think I saw this one first because about 10 minutes later.....

I came across an even bigger one!!! I covered both of them back up and hoped they wouldn't jump out when the whipper snipper came too close, but they didn't, I checked them after and they were both fine :).

Planting out the Broccoli...

+

The roots where only just at the bottom of the pots...

Planted....

Stocks were put in at the end of the bed as well, And then it was temporarily covered with netting- need to find better netting...

And the kale went into the top of the other bed...

Some Stocks planted out near the Zinnias....

Pea seeds- Telephone and Greenfeast, where planted....

... It's raining....

And there goes my plans to not be kept out of the garden!! :(

But I did go out and take photo's before it really started to pour :)

The Silverbeet has grown, but something is still eating the leaves, and some plants have died altogether at the back, but I kept a few plants just incase so they will be planted out tomorrow.

Silverbeet under the netting...

Broccoli, Kale, Stocks and some other seedlings going well, will hopefully get to plant them out tomorrow... None of the Long Island Imp Brussel Sprouts germinated, but one of the Ruby ones did, And I think that is all I'd need :)

The Cabbage has grown lots in just one week :)

One of them has a purple stem though???

The Sweet Peas have grown a lot too :)

A Volunteer Bean...

The other new bed with Silverbeet, Carrots and Petunias, the Kale will go in here as well...

The Thai Green Eggplant has waited until the middle of Autumn to flower :/ ...

Beans that will be pulled...

The Strawberry patch that has a Cosmos in it....

Which is budding :)

More Beans to be pulled, these are in mostly shade and have been eaten badly by snails...

I think the pumpkin is sick?? Not nearly enough sunlight and too late in the season :(...

The first planting of Sweet Peas, "Hi Scent" are going well...

The flower bed by the side of the house.....

The Poppy's have grown the most, There 10 times the size they were before :)

The stocks are very happy :)

The other flower bed is very happy too...

Especially the Foxglove!!

Freesias in pots...

Gardenia...

Catnip has take over the Rose plant, but it still seems happy enough....

The front fence, where last year Sweet Peas were planted, It's had a year to rest, so it's time to pull the weeds and plant some vegetables!

Jonquilles emerging....

More Mushrooms :)

The room they're in is still quite bright, so a sheet is placed over them...

You can just see the mushrooms...

The bulbs on the windowsill are sprouting :) In this one, from top to bottom are Jonquills, Freesias- Purple Rain, Ancona, Pink Attraction, Honeymoon and Gabrielle.

Top to Bottom 1 Hyacinth, Babiana and Jonquills. The scent thought the window in spring will be magnifi(s)cent! :)

Happy Gardening :)
